General Settings

This page contains general settings for 1 Motive, useful for both dialup and broadband users.

Broadband settings

The following settings are standard across all 1 Motive broadband connections, and can be set in most modems and routers.

  • Modulation: ADSL2+ for broadband2+, G.DMT for broadband1
  • Encapsulation: PPPoA
  • Multiplexing: VCMux
  • Authentication: CHAP
  • Username: 0000000000C@nsw.1motive.net.au
  • VPI: 8
  • VCI: 35

Domain name server (DNS)

This should be provided automatically; if you need to set these manually use 203.217.155.1, 203.217.155.2.

Email

These email settings can be used by almost all customers within 1 Motive. For example, if you have an hosting account and your email address is john.citizen@yourdomain.com.au, you should also use this address as your username for email purposes.

Note: If you are setting up an extra mailbox, the username and password you should use are the mailbox's username and password, not your main account's username and password.
